For anyone who relies on a digital calendar to keep them on track, Google Calendar Sync is a must-have application. The free download isn't fancy or even pretty--a simple log-in and options list comprises the system tray icon. However, the meat of the application is what it can do, which is flawlessly add details of Outlook calendar items to Google's Calendar, and vice versa if you so choose. At any time, you can make it unidirectional in the options, and how often the tool updates is entirely up to you.
Publisher's description
From Google :Google Calendar Sync allows you to sync events between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar. You'll be able to determine the direction of information flow, as well as the sync frequency. Staying on top of your Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar events has never been easier! Keep in mind that it's not possible to sync events on secondary calendars at this time. Google Calendar Sync will only sync events from your primary Google Calendar and your default Microsoft Outlook calendar.

Version: Google Calendar Sync beta 0.9.3.5
Pros: Easy to use, perfectly reliable and non-buggy, which is why I now use this wirelessly with my iPhone instead of the very unreliable MobileMe service from Apple. Apple builds fabulous products but seems inept at internet applications.
Cons: The only improvement I can think of would be for Google to add contacts as well.
Summary: A rock solid solution for those needing real time wireless calendar sync capability.

Version: Google Calendar Sync beta 0.9.3.5
Pros: Works most of the time,
Cons: If You have the New Pal Pre creats conflicts with the normal sync between the Pre and Google Calendar ..You must delete and re-instal again for another sync. Second Problem when you have more than one computer with Outlook, duplicates the data.
Summary: Try it,

Version: Google Calendar Sync beta 0.9.3.5
"Works for me (and I'm now happy)"
Pros: Works perfect without doing anything. I'm loving it because this has been something I've been wanting for a long time.
Cons: Wish I had known about this when I got my blackberry.
Summary: My company wasn't willing to buy the blackberry server so I couldn't get my calendar on my phone. Thanks to this little application I can now get my business calendar on my blackberry. Would be nice if it sync'd contacts, but since this is my corp... read more >>
