From DIT :This program helps millions of Internet users in China to access the Internet faster and more stably. Many users report that Freegate makes visiting overseas websites as fast as visiting local ones. Now it is available to users outside China as shareware. Without license, user may be able to use it for a few minutes. Licensed user will be able to use it up to the subscribed amount of data transfer that comes with that license. A unique encryption and compression algorithm is implemented to secure and optimize users online activities.
Version 6.80 supports simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, English, Spanish and Farsi interfaces. If your selected language does not display correctly, please 1) download the dynamic link library (.dll) file from the Dynaweb download page, 2) place it in the same directory as Freegate's executable (.exe) file, and 3) restart Freegate.
What's new in this version:
Freegate is available to users outside China as shareware. Without license, user may be able to use it for a few minutes. Licensed user will be able to use it up to the allowed amount of data transfer that comes with that license.

"It's the last we can rely on"
Pros: UltraSurf and Freegate are almost the only way we Chinese can use to freely visit the Internet! Fast to visit youtube or facebook as if I were still one of human beings.
Cons: none.but sometimes may become slow or even unavailable for Chinese GFW.

"Only works in China. Cannot be uninstalled."
Pros: Whopeedoo for a billion folks in China.
Cons: This software is courtesy of the US govt and will not work elsewhere. It does not appear on the Program List, so cannot be uninstalled. I did a system restore. Some of my computer still isn't working as before.
Summary: I wanted to use this program because Turkey blocks so many sites - including Facebook and YouTube. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS PROGRAM.

Pros: its free or we can call it an opensource software so we dont have to pay to use it
Cons: it doesnt allow external proxy list , and need to be tuned if you want to use it with other browser other then IE , and it not working properly like if you go to any site it will automatically redirect you to its own website again and again
Summary: i would suggest not to use it rather use any other ip hiding or proxy tool
