Summary
Don't install unless you want to spend the next several hours scratching your head wondering why all your browsers have been hijacked and you get all sorts of unwanted popups when clicking links in your browsers.
This used to be a decent and trusted app. Sorry to see Applian go this route. -

Didn't get to it, when WinPatrol (Scotty) started barking a lot I quit the install as fast as I could

installs addware (I needed to at least uninstall 3 different programes), alters starting page of every browser it can find, alters default search engine.. the owrks..

Allowed me record streaming video that no other program would - and I've tried quite a few.
Cons
I tried to opt out of the additional stuff during installation but to no avail.
Then Delta Malware hijacked my browsers and took many hours to get rid of - installed 3 or 4 different programs in the registry! Almost as bad as the dreaded Ask Toolbar which Oracle sneaks in when you update Java.Summary

-I don't know where people are saying it's malware infested, I have no issues with itCons
-It doesn't separate what ever you are planing to immediatly record one thing after another. Although it says it can, it doesn't (always). For me, it splits into 2 recording screens when it plans on splitting music, but half the time I constantly have to close and re-open for it to separate on its own. If you can't get it to separate on it's own, you will be stuck at the computer having to manualing "stop" the sound then "starting" the recording for the next song
Summary
Good product outside the fact that some of it's features don't work properly half the time.

None, I uninstalled it immediately.
Cons
Installs many 3rd party "apps" too many to list. At least one of them disabled my Malwarebytes AV. I am very nervous about using my PC at the moment.
Summary
I tried emailing their tech support, but they insist "Please understand, Nothing is installed with freecorder without your explicit permission." I seem to recall that this was an issue with Realplayer, and look what happened with them.
Does anyone know how to stop the survey sites from opening? I'm using chrome presently and I see no extensions doing this so I think it might be a resident application. If anyone has information I think it'd be a good idea to post it here as I don't think tech support @ Freecorder is going to help.

Please understand, Nothing is installed with freecorder without your explicit permission. This is not something I'm able to assist you with unfortunately as pup.inforatoms is not from or part of freecorder.

first of all it hijacked my search enginees to redirect to search.us then when i removed that when i do google search it inserts its own ads in to page... and then I dont even know how many other spywares and adwares were installed with this program.. I was being cool but NO WAY with this load of crap...

unforutunately I was refferred to this software by audacity NEVER again i will trust audacity for their reference ....

"sneaky install, adware WITHIN the software"

was able to download a video other software could not
Cons
very sneaky install process which, even if you are savvy enough to click "decline" on the unnecessary programs and still get freecorder, the program itself contains adware like "coupon drop down" which was not visible anywhere on my system and only disappeared after uninstalling freecorder itself. Highly unethical software.
Summary
Not worth it. Stay away.
