  Version: Free AspxFormsGen 3.5 Exp Asp.Net 3.5 Generator 1

  "Very useful and easy to use asp.net code generator"

  Pros: I own the previous aspxformsgen pro version, the new 3.5 version can be installed side by side with the older version. Works just like the old one, very easy. There's lot of changes with the generated webforms. Here's what I like.

  - The webform coding in the UI is now more web 2.0 standardized. So instead of using single quotes, e.g. runat='server', it's now runat="server"

  - LINQ-to-SQL is used to grab data

  - The list of all generated (1 html file) webforms looks a lot better, some webforms are readily clickable so you can see it in action, with descriptions of the files.

  - Gridview styles are very professional-looking. And they also have examples of the styles in their website. This is absolutely helpful.

  - My Favorite: Uses AJAX and AJAX control kit in the generated webforms. Nicely done.

  - Better tutorials - in video.

  - And many more, just can't think of them right now.

  Cons: - Does not generate stored procedure anymore like the previous version. This strickly uses LINQ-to-SQL to do CRUD operations. I wish they would have kept the stored procedure generation along side with LINQ-to-SQL.

  - Still does not give an option to choose only the table for which you want to generate webforms for, it just generates for all the tables in your database. The only good thing is they also generate an html file that list all the generated webforms, and they're clickable.

  - Only generates asp.net 3.5 webforms. It does not generate asp.net 2.0 webforms. It's a good thing I also have the previous version, it generates 2.0 webforms.

  "Very easy to use! Good Product!!!!!!!"

  Pros: Absolutely love the One click (and some typing) feature of asp.net webform generation. If you're an Asp.net 2.0 programmer you automatically just know what the webforms that was created are used for, you would just know what the textboxes, validators, drop downlist, master page, web.config, themes, etc are used for.

  Another favorite of mine is the creation of stored procedures straight in MS SQL 2005, and yes the webforms are bound to these stored procedures.

  One last amazing thing is that it works and runs in Vista too.

  Can't wait for the version that creates ajax controls. When will you guys get this ready? Cool, cool, cool!!!!!!!!!

  Cons: Only works with Microsoft SQL Server, no other database like Access or Oracle.

  "Waste of Time & Money"

  Pros: Not alot. Used it once tried to return it.

  Cons: Ok I bought this based on the reviews. Frankly I think that the reviews were written by staff of the company. They will not refund your money when you find out it doen't help you. Frankly it will generate pages and stored procedures but this is far from a RAD. Open it in VS and you have a nightmare of mixed up not master oriented pages.

  If you want RAD, go download a trial of codecharge. You can do a hell of alot more with that product for an extra $100. This product is a waste of $150. DO NOT BUY IT.

  If you are just looking for something to generate stored procedures. Download a trial copy of Ironspeed. Generate your app and then look in your SQL database. All SPs (insert, delete, append) have been created there for you without throwing $150 down the drain with this piece of trash.

  Again, DO NOT BUY THIS, the reviews are wrong.

  "Awesome product. Great asp.net 2.0 generator. A must!!!!!!"

  Pros: 1. Express is really free, no gimmicks, no pop-ups, no time expiration.

  2. Both Express and Pro are Extremely easy to use. My 12-yr old son was able to figure it out without help, that easy.

  3. Writes regular Asp.net 2.0 webforms, so it's very easy to understand (if you're an asp.net programmer). Everything created is standardized.

  4. You'll never have to email support, it's too easy.

  5. Professional writes CRUD stored procedures, and straight in the database, no scripts to copy and paste, this is the best feature I like the best.

  5. If you're not picky for your administration, you probably won't even need to code.

  6. And soooooooooo much more. This product is really great for Asp.net programmers.

  Cons: Not this time.

  "A must for all asp.net programmers!"

  Pros: Great O/R mapper. Just enter your server name, database, username, password (connection string parameters) and click the generate button and all your bound webforms and stored procs are generated. Very easy to use. No need for tutorial, every webform and stored proc generated are standardized. You must check it out to believe it.

  Awesome asp.net generator!!!!
