If you want an easy way to look at your font library, Font Safari provides the most straightforward approach. A simple window with font styles on the left makes choosing the font for viewing a snap. In a larger preview window on the right, you can view selected fonts in a character maps view; get up close with characters using the telescope (or zoom) view; or you can view the entire alphabet, in both cases with numbers, using the snapshot view. We like the simple tabbed interface that makes viewing each type easy. You also can get keyboard shortcut information about all the characters of a specified font. Font hobbiests and design professionals will appreciate Font Safari's simple but effective interface and options.Publisher's description

View your fonts in the character maps view, telescope view, and see the entire font family rendering a common or custom phrase. Includes support for multiple language keyboard shortcuts and string encodings.
Font Safari allows you to view all of the characters in the font, and also allows you to simulate the font in alternative encodings such as Mac Roman, Windows ANSI, Unicode and other common text encodings. Font Safari displays valuable information about each selected character such as the US Keyboard shortcuts, UTF8 and UTF16 codes, and the Unicode name of each character.

What's new in this version:
- Resolved an OutOfBoundsException error with the license file for Macintosh OS 9.
- Resolved an issue with the Automatic Updates "Never" setting.
- Now an error dialog is suppressed if Automatic Updates is enabled and there is no active internet connection.
- Resolved an issue where "Copy" was not working correctly.
- Added a feature "Copy as Plain Text" so that the highlighted character could be copied to the clipboard as plain text.
