"THEY NEVER SENT THE LICENSE CODE, STILL YOUR MONEY!"
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
I found a nice program, I liked it, installed it, works fine for me
Cons
After I paid for the software they never send me back the license code to unlock the program, never an answer, I had to set up a dispute to get money back.
Summary
Been warned

"Not Worth Paying"
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
It has lots of built-in JavaScripts.
Cons
The software is unstable and has a tendency to lock up on startup.
Summary
I was one of those that were anxiously awaiting the release of the software. I started using 1st Page 2000. When the 2006 came out, it was a joke. Firstly, it was advertised that it was free, like 2000. Once you installed it you get this nag screen wanting you to purchase the product. The main problem I had with the software was that it was unstable. On WinXP it would continually lock up when starting up. The program was very sluggish.
Personally, I really didn't see a whole lot of improvement from 2000, especially to warrant a $60 price tag. I do just fine with a free code editor, Notepad++. When it comes to code editing, that's what I stick to. It's free and works.
Unless they have updated the software to not lock up and so forth, I wouldn't even bother downloading it. There are too many free code editing software out there that surpasses First Page 2006. -
"Excellent ASP support"
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
Excellent Active Server pages support; just click on the Options/Advanced tab. True WYSIWYG under 'Design View.' I read comments around the web about it and learned that it is not a true freebie, but that the trial is unending and that most features remain available. A very nice free alternative to Front Page or Expression Web or Dreamweaver.
Cons
The Evrsoft company doesn't inspire confidence. The product support forum is little other than spam messages. I read comments elsewhere that people who attempted to purchase the full program had trouble getting their license keys. I'll stick with the freebie version.

"Good, but yes gives some problems..."
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
I use First Page and find it very good, it made HTML and CSS understandable for me with its internal editors and generators; I liked overall the CSS generator and well, it tought me how CSS work.
Cons
But...there are some problems, as I said.
First, it's true: First Page is tremendously slow and when you open more than one or two pages (and switch to visual mode) it crashes, so save your work very often!
It's also true that some Jscripts contain a Malware (and the BadJoke); I scanned them with Avast! too so be aware.
Finally it IS shareware, there's no time limit but anyway a big nag screen appears both when you open the program and when you close it

"sorry, not worth it"
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
Powerful Tool for hardcore web designers.
Cons
Too expensive. Surpassed by open source tools.

"Unstable!"
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
I am a translator, and need to work on HTML files sometimes. This app allows me to easily see the "black bits" that I need to work on, more so than Dreamweaver, and also, it's free. The contract-giver had some problems with Dreamweaver adding tags, not with 1stpage though.
Cons
It's incredibly unstable! And slow. OK; since it's free, we can forgive many things. In this app, CTRL+S really is your best friend. It often crashes on its own, but I suspect it takes Windows (XP Pro) with it now and again too. Also, backup your files. If it has "kinda crashed" but you still have the option to save, DON'T as you will find a 0kb file where your work was. You just have to accept that you've lost everything since your last save and close the process.
