FileCommander is a very powerful file explorer. The user has two directory windows, which can be expanded to four directory windows. You can save your tools in a quick launch menu for open the tools or open files with the selected tool. It has more functions than the standard file explorer.
I had 2 folders (1 on 2 external drives) that I needed to compare to see what folder had what files; I had been using both drives off and on, and I wanted them to have the same files. One folder would have some that the other folder didn't and vice versa. This little app did the trick and it's easy to use. It splits the screen so you can have one folder (or drive or directory) in each pane, and you can compare and copy, rename, delete, etc., between folders/panes. Worked pretty perfectly!!! Now if it had a print option where I could print the entire split screen showing the folders, this program would have 5 stars (maybe it does print, and I haven't found it yet). Plus, this doesn't require installation: it's a stand alone app so removal is easy! Just drag it to the recycle bin.
Cons
It's in German and English... not a big deal really. As stated above, I don't think there's a print option (if there is, I apologize). I haven't used this for too long, so it may have many more features that I haven't found yet.... But, basically, no real negatives that I saw....
