This application easily converts multiple files from one format to another, though file formats are limited. File Conversion Wizard for Word and Excel's straightforward interface is comprehensible, and its clear, and step-by-step instructions further ease the learning curve. Basic pull-down menus let you select a folder to work with, as well as the file for conversion and for the output file.
As long as the file formats you're using are recognized by Microsoft Word and Excel, you're good to go. You'll be able to convert files in RTF, HTML, CSV, DOC, and TXT formats, along with a few others. During testing, the program quickly scanned the selected folder and displayed files with the specified file format. Since each file listed is checked for conversion by default, a simple uncheck of the files to be excluded in the transfer was nearly effortless. The conversion process was quick, though this demo severely tags newly converted files. Despite the trial restriction, users will find file conversion with this application to be a virtual cakewalk.

"must have other additional programs"
Pros: none at all
Cons: all I wanted to do was convert 1 wps file, however I must have MS works to convert the file. If I had MS works then I wouldnt need to use this product at all! totally useless to me-

Pros: Had no problems converting the files I needed to (esp. WPS format).
Cons: The user interface was not intuitive, but worked well. Also, the lack of drag-and-drop is a drawback (hence 4/5 stars).
Summary: The students at my selective north-eastern USA university can't read simple instructions and send files in whatever format they feel like. So far, this quick and small program has handled all the problems I couldn't clean up with Word 2007 and OOo 3... read more >>

"Easy to use. Excellent results. Saved me hours of work."
Pros: Reproduces complex directory structures. Handles all formats Word or Excel can convert. Is fully functional donate ware.
Cons: not really
Summary: I needed to convert more than 400 xls files into csv format. It had to be done "the day before yesterday". The program worked like a charme and the whole bunch of files was converted flawlessly within a few minutes.
