You won't find any revolutionary features with Facebook Chat IM, a free instant messaging program, but it does give you a way to easily interface with your Facebook friends.
The free instant messaging tool presents an interface that anyone who has used an IM program will understand. Even those with no experience using an instant messenger will find the simple, clean interface easy to follow. There's a field for your message, a Send button -- all you need to instantly keep up with what your Facebook pals are doing. And you'll find all the staples of instant messaging, including emoticons, status updates, sound alerts, but you can also manage your Facebook privacy settings with the app.
One minor issue we found during the test is that the application installed a desktop icon without permission, but otherwise it works well as an IM program. Facebook users will like the integration with the popular social media site.

This software ruined my home pc.
Cons
This has ruined my pc, I had to pay $385 to a local computer shop to retrieve all my old photos and word documents. I'm warning you, be careful this software will harm your computer!

Finally I don't have to have Facebook open in front of me, it's so annoying!! This is the way Facebook chat supposed to be... It's very simple, I can use emoticons faster and do other stuff while i'm chatting away.

Cons
I found the program to be potentially dangerous. Through several "program checkers", it has "bad" ratings. It was difficult to uninstall. I had to use regedit. It also seemed to open unwelcome ports in "firewall". I didn't even want to take anymore chances. Besides, there are plenty of other face-to-face camera chat programs that have been proven safe and faster. Use at your own risk.
Summary
Not a good program. I don't like it and don't recommend it.
