CNET Editors' review
FTweak's FCleaner is one of many free utilities designed to clean and optimize your Windows Registry and disk drives. Like many other free registry tools, it promises to improve your system's performance by removing unnecessary, orphaned, and potentially hazardous files and registry entries without causing residual mayhem. Unlike many others, it doesn't contain adware or spyware. It also offers some security- and performance-enhancing features that many free registry editors omit, like a browser cache cleaner that can remove cookies and erase traces of your online activity, including sensitive data retained in out-of-the-way places that other cleaners often miss. There's also a Startup Manager for configuring which programs and files Windows loads on start-up.
We've tested a lot of registry tools, and FCleaner is both typical of the breed and a bit above average in that there's a familiar look to its interface and a familiar feel to its functionality. Compared with the competition, its three-paned front end offers more options for selecting and excluding items to clean and more information about each selection. Similar to the others, it finds a surprising amount of dross in the registry; where it differs is in that it doesn't make things worse by zapping Windows features or disassociating your software certificates. It even has a superior uninstaller.
FCleaner is free, and it's ready for Windows 7. In fact, new releases include an update for cleaning Windows 7 thumbnail files in addition to enhanced AVG antivirus support and a command-line option to stop FCleaner in its tracks.

"The best yet. A great companion to C cleaner."
Version: FCleaner 1.3.1.621
Pros
An in depth but fast cleaner. Lets you get in there and scrub. Gives you statistics of everything it did, all your system info, scrubs memory, attatches to right click shortcut if you prefer. Yet it didn't do one naughty thing to my xp system.
Cons
Cnet provided the cons for us this time. When i tried to install, they tried to sneak in 2 programs I definitely did not want. . So i manually installed it.
Summary
Use this, Ccleaner, and Glary utilities and your set. I usd this right after using Ccleaner and a quick defragger and it still went to town and freed up oodles of space. You can spend 5 minutes and let it work automatically or you can go in depth and see whats going on inside that junky hard drive. F Cleaner is great, epecially for a free program. I look forward to seeing more from these guys.
More Hurrahs for F Cleaner!

I know i have already reviewed F cleaner but I must give credit to the uninstaller. This tool gets rid of hard to shake applications that windows doesn't even detect. You know, those applications that software companies are starting to sneak in on you every time you install software? You might think you are installing say, a chat application, and when you finish, you have in addition 4 tool bars; 3 search 'providers'; 2 smiley applications with viruses; game platforms that launch all kinds of problemsl All this of course unasked for. Not only does F cleaner get rid of these for you, it gets rid of the entry name for you too. The windows "add remove" program in your control panel just can't do this. I love this about F cleaner!!!!
