From Qualcomm :Eudora is a mail and news application based on the open source Thunderbird client from Mozilla. It's not developers' intention to compete with Thunderbird; rather, they want to complement it. Qualcomm is committed to both preserving the Eudora user experience and to maintaining maximum compatibility, for both developers and users, with Thunderbird. Release 8.0b6 includes Penelope version 0.5a3 and is using Thunderbird 3.0b2 source code.

Version: Eudora 8.0b6 beta
"Not bad, can only use safe version"
Pros: Everything seems to work fine
Cons: The full version became unusable so now I only use the safe version, which now works fine.

Pros: If it is anything like Eudora 4.2 which I have used for years, then I have got a winner.
I will need a few more days of action to qualify my one line summary.Cons: TBA (to be announced).

Pros: There are none that I know of
Cons: Tried to install it 4 times and it blewup and would not load.
Summary: I also have been using Eudora since the 90's and I think I will stick with the old reliable version.

"Too much like Outlook Express"
Pros: Easy install
Cons: Nothing like the previous version of Eudora - this one seems more like an Outlook Express clone.

"Eudora works great and is easy to use"
Pros: Eudora makes it easy to search for emails by words, sender or date. It is free and it works very well.
Cons: None that I know of.
Summary: Eudora makes the task of keeping track of email and finding old emails very easy. It is also easy to store emails in mailboxes for later reference.
