I purchased emailchemy in 2007 knowing I would someday have to convert my QuickMail Pro e-mails to something else. Well, now came the time and even though my version is over a year old, emailchemy did an excellent job converting hundreds of QMP e-mails to Apple Mail. All my personal subfolders were preserved and all e-mail attachments open flawlessly. I did get a warning from the app that the contents of the folder I selected were not what emailchemy expects, but I ignored this warning and got perfect results. A small bug occurred when I tried to convert just a single subfolder; emailchemy created two separate folders, one empty and one with the converted e-mails. Mail would not accept the latter, but when I placed this folder into the empty one Mail was happy to import it. This problem may have been solved in newer versions or maybe I did something wrong. My QMP version is 3.5.3 , my OS is 10.4.11 with Mail 2.1.3. Thanks Weird Kid for this excellent software.

Wonderful program. Just saved me by allowing me to import thousands of .elmx OS 10.4.8 emails back into a new installation of Mac OS 10.4.8.
Worked great for me!

Finally (after a couple dozen attempts) got this app downloaded and, of course, it works like a charm. Converted the mailboxes from the now sadly discontinued Mulberry for use in Thunderbird--seamlessly and quickly. It's a one-trick pony but it does that trick well.

Some of the best money I've ever spent. Apple's mail hosed my inbox upon updating to Tiger. Just the inbox (with thousands of emails), none of the other mailboxes. Tried many solutions with no success. Emailchemy brought all my messages back and saved the day. Yay, Wierd Kid.

Microsoft sucks and STILL hasn't updated Entourage 2004 to import the "new" 10.4 Mail.app E-mail format (.emlx) - unbelievable support for a $300+ package. My company forced me to use Exchange (a la Entourage), so Emailchemy was the ONLY solution that would easily and quickly convert my 10.4 .emlx mail to a format that Entourage could import. I could have HAND-CONVERTED thousands of E-mails by renaming the extension of .emlx to .eml (per Microsoft's tech support... nice "solution", huh?) They told me I could use automator to batch the rename process, but then when I imported the E-mails, they wouldn't be in the appropriate folders, etc.
Either way, Emailchemy came to the rescue, converted all of my E-mails AND kept the folder/organization I had. While it might seem expensive for a "one time use" app, it was worth the money for the time and stress it saved me. Thanks for providing this solution - you're the ONLY ones to do so!

This software may be able to convert ENGLISH text from almost any mail application to almost any other one, but it certainly CANNOT convert french text from Entourage to Eudora. That is : you'll get code instead of accents, which is quite unacceptable for non 7 bit characters users. I guess it is useless to French speaking/writing users.

After I converted to Thunderbird format, it took me a couple of minutes to figure out where to put the files. Easy enough. I used the Wizard interface; the "Standard" one looked too complicated. I agree they are misnamed: the Wizard should be Standard and the more complicated interface should be used to "Customize..." the way Apple installers do. IMO it was worth the money.
