This file archiver/unpacker is fast, familiar, and simple to operate, but offers little in the way of unique features and even less in terms of reliability. EasyZip's interface resembles so many similar applications: large function icons over a file list. Operating EasyZip is just as familiar: you choose a directory to open a new ZIP file, and then name it. Oddly, though, EasyZip doesn't open the file-add function in that chosen directory. Unpacking archives follows the same series of steps.

You spend a lot of time browsing to choose the destination directory. We weren't impressed with the interface or functions, and EasyZip moved a step lower by disappointing us with its performance. During testing, we experienced program crashes, freezes, and general quirkiness. Sometimes merely minimizing a window caused EasyZip to freeze.

Testing this application is restricted to 15 days, but most users won't need that long to uninstall EasyZip. An uninspired interface combined with programming errors makes this file compression utility an easy skip.

Why to limited?

Pros
Yes the primary compression format is ZIP, but the products name is EasZip. For the record it does support TAR and GZIP. This application also, has many great features like the Right click Shell Menu with several ways to compress or un-compress your files. Regarding purchasing, this product is only $5.00 USD if you don't need all the features than use the free zip service that Windows supplies. But, don't say you should spend $30.00 USD plus for other products that have the same features.

Pros
This is a simple review. there are several. free compression utilities that are much better then this application. This one is limited in the file types it supports. If you need a free compression utility, "7Zip" is the best choice. If you are willing to invest in a compression utility, "WinZip" and "WinRAR" are the best options.

At least they aren't asking $30 like WinZip. It has some decent features.

It only handles zip files. It requires NET Framework which takes a lot of hard drive space. If it was free, it would have received a much better rating. They are charging for something that has no realistic uses.
