EarMaster Pro provides users with an easy-to-follow tutorial into the world of music. Utilizing a beautiful-looking and intuitive format, many users will find the mysteries of music unraveled after training with this tool.

This program jumps out immediately and says it's something special, thanks to its design. Tasteful uses of colors, cartoons, and diagrams all make this look and feel like a very professional program. Learning and testing were intuitive and should not require much of a learning curve for people unaccustomed to music. Fortunately, there is an equally excellent Help file for any questions that arise. Users are given a choice between learning on a guitar or a piano, both of which are represented by excellent images on the screen. After that, users simply select one of the many tutorials along the top of the screen, listen to examples, and then try to match them on their instrument. EarMaster features tutorials that teach rhythms, scales, and notes, and each was simple to learn and fun to operate. The program provides some interesting special features as well. Users are free to plug in a MIDI keyboard for a more realistic tutorial and can even use a microphone for voice training. Another interesting feature were the statistics kept based on the amount of correct and incorrect answers.

The 21-day trial period should be enough time to get acquainted with the program. With a professional layout and fun tutorials, this program was a pleasure to use and will be a benefit for anyone looking to learn music.
