Duplicate Cleaner Pro does a bang-up job of finding duplicates, but deleting them isn't easy if you don't pay up. The program drastically limits what you can do if you don't buy the full version. Still, if you can get by on deleting a small number of files at a time, or don't mind paying for quality, this app is worth exploring.
This application searches through any folder you choose to find duplicate files that are taking up space. It can scan multiple folders, ZIP archives, or even your entire computer at once, and it does it relatively quickly. It also lets you locate similar images (rotated, resized, etc.) and compare your audio files by tags. It took the program about four minutes to browse through our computer during testing. Once it finished, it gave us a lengthy list of potential duplicates. Almost all of the files Duplicate Cleaner Pro highlighted were unnecessary duplicates. The program lets you highlight each file individually, as well as the whole list for quick deleting. However, the free version only lets you manage the first 100 groups (two or more copies of the same file), so you'll need to run the program over and over again if you want it to get rid of all of your duplicates. That's rather annoying, even if the program is quick to find and delete duplicate files, but it's enough to test the program and see if you like it before purchasing.
Duplicate Cleaner Pro has all of the makings of a good program, so it might be worth the cash for you. Even though there are other free programs that give you similar usability without a price tag, this one does offer some additional features and quick performance to make it worth your while.

Has some features that other free software doesn't
Interface is ok
(Other free software are even ten times faster, and i am not exagerating, at all)
It,s unbeliveble that you have to pay for something that slow.
For more than a 100 gb, plan an overnight scan
No built in image view. Looks easy to use but isn't.
It's amazing how things that are well intentioned can evolve into a ruinous mess. I'm sure the developers worked hard to throw in as many features as they could, but with no regard to how people trying out the program will fare, it's a recipe for failure. This program is like one of those time-share deals, it lures you in with an inviting presentation. You spend a great deal of time poking around, then comes the punchline, you click delete and: 100 dupe limit on the trial. And it waits till the end of all your work to tell you instead of before you got started. So you have to go back through picking each dupe by hand, where you had been kind of flying blind already, and realize that you would have been better off just searching in explorer.
