Version: Disk Doctors NTFS Data Recovery 2.0.1
"Good Software, but expensive"
Pros: Windows Disk management didn't recognize my sata drive. However, I can see all my files in disk doctor, but I can't save a single file. Since it is demo version file retrieval or save doesn't work, so I can't comment on that.
Cons: Software is very expensive. Should offer user to try every feature of the software for a few days.
Summary: I used linux live CD and retrieved all the files from my sata drive. You can use Easeus diskcopy(free) to retrieve various file format to another pata/sata drive. It is although a bit of work, but once in a great while I can deal with it
