Disk Demon is an advanced defragmentation utility that optimizes the data layout of your volumes and records. Dynamic programming techniques are used to achieve superior results in a sophisticated and efficient manner. Main features include: support for NTFS, FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 file systems; defragment volumes in parallel; fully functional and independent command line interface for scripting; dynamic data layout of volume; rich set of include and exclude filters; unlimited schedules per volume; automatic settings for defragging when the system is idle; multi-threaded to take advantage of multi-core processors; detailed volume and fragmentation reporting. Disk Demon allows granular scheduling down to a single file for defragmentation, requires only a single defragmentation pass of file records, requires only a single defragmentation pass of free space, utilizes the Microsoft API for guaranteed safe data movement.
