This application can create and save customized lists of the files in a folder or directory, but it lacks a way to print them. Directory Lister's standard interface offers a multitude of check boxes and drop-down controls that allow you to specify what information is included in the list such as directory name, path, filename, size, date, and time. You can easily select target directories and folders using the basic file-tree navigator. The Preview tab gives a quick view of the list, which can be saved in HTML and CSV. However, you can't send the created file list directly to your printer using this program. Despite this minor drawback, most users will appreciate the numerous ways to customize the file list, and Directory Lister proves to be a useful addition to your file-management toolbox.Publisher's description
From KRKsoft :Directory Lister is a tool for generating listings of files from user-selected directories on hard disks, CD-ROMs, floppys, USB storages. The listing can be in HTML, TXT, or CSV format. It is like old dir command, but much more convenient.
Version 0.9.1 has tool tips can be disabled. < and > chars can be disabled in subdir names. Tab character can be specified as CSV column separator. CD insertion and removal is automatically detected. Path can be specified not to contain the selected directory. file:// can be added in front of links. Column names can be shown in listing header. The installation can be repaired from the Add/Remove programs window. Subdirs can be mixed with files or always in front of them. External CSS file can be included after default definitions. Single or all subdirs selecting can be forced by using CTRL and Shift keys. HTML title can be user defined. Listing can be send as an e-mail attachment by one button click.

Version: Directory Lister 0.9.1
"simple, effective, does what it's supposed to"
Pros: you will need to spend some time tweaking the settings, but after you do it does what it should
Cons: options are slightly difficult to deal with, but the preview option makes life easier.
also, wish there was an option to save as .doc with an organized, viewable table like the html exporting does...the .txt table is useful only for searching, not for browsing

Version: Directory Lister 0.9.1
Pros: I haven't used it extensively, but I really like it so far. There are LOTS of options for what to include in the directory list. I particularly like that I can right-click a folder to get a list. The UI is nice -- much better than the other programs I've used.
Cons: I'd like the ability to right-click and save that list to the clipboard instead of a file, but that's a small quibble.
