i couldn't use it
didnt work on my win7 x64
i had many errors when i try to connect and windows shuts the program, i switched to filezilla and its working perfectly
Can drag & drop files, easy uploads. Easy to use intuitive interface. I am a beginner with my own new website and this makes managing my site much easier.
Sometimes get failures when uploading lots of files (>100 files or 100 MB) at a time. Would to be able to move files a little more easily, but can still be done (have to type in location to move to).
I switched to FileZilla and have never looked back.

All the average user needs. All GUIs should be this simple.
Does not support sftp.
Windows Explorer-like layout
Consistantly bungles uploads of html files: the program says that an upload was successful, whilst indicating that 105% (or 112%, or 101%...) of the file was uploaded - much of the time, I have to upload a file more than once to guarantee a correct transfer.
Look at it's size, 244.64K, if it had adware it would be a lot bigger than that. ravivenkatesh1 is triing to stear people away, and probably closer to a product of his which probably has adware. I've been using DeluxeFTP for years, since it first came out. It is a really great File Transfer Protocol. It has all of the same effects as Windows Explorer, basically, which is what I want. I wouldn't want something that would take a couple of hours to learn how to use. Once you have installed it, Goto File -> Connection Wizard, the wizard will come up, put in a name. This can be any name. This name doesn't have anything to do with anything except to you. Click Next after the name. In the next field, it's asking for the Host address, that will be:
Click Next, and the next screen asks for your username and password. Do not check the anonymous box. Click next, and the next screen will ask of the Download Folder. This folder will be for this account, and everytime you connect into this account DeluxeFTP will goto that folder. Click next, and the next screen will ask to add to favorites. This is just for DeluxeFTP, and not your internet browser bookmarks. Click next, and the next screen will ask you if you want to connect now. Check the box, and click finish. This is an example. That it, it's that easy. Now you can drag and drop you way to you higher being.
I do agree with some of the other writers, that if you don't delete your original item from the web site before you upload the new item, it will merge them together making them unreadable or corrupt. I also think that the program needs an update to fix those kind of problems, but it hasn't been updated since 2005, which could mean that the author may have passed away to a better program. They used to update it about monthly. I really have no bad issues with this program. It's really easy to use. Besides uploading, and downloading, it can rename, move, delete, copy, explorer, and just about anything else I would want an FTP to do.
Very simple UI, easy to install, nothing to learn
Keeps corrupting files - I downloaded a small page with minimal graphics, made a couple of changes that added a line and paragraph - and when I uploaded, it looked like the new version was overlayed on the old one! Works fine if you don't change any of the formatting/add lines etc. - when just correcting spelling; anything more and you will see the issue.
Quite nice and simple to set up and connect - took me 2 minutes!
Installs desktop items and some other stuff that keeps taking you to a website to seel software; my firewall kicked in (correctly) and I finally uninstalled the product
I simple downloaded a file and re-uploaded it as a test of the program's functionality and it corrupted the file. I didn't catch it at first but I downloaded another file and made some changes and uploaded that. When I tested the site, everything crashed around my ankles. After re-uploading the same file again, some of the errors went away but not all. I can't recommend this to any web developer.
Well it works...lets not get carried away here ..it only moves files from one place to another... hhahaha
I was looking for a free FTP client for some customers without limits or advertising but was also simple to use and this will work great. The default settings with the interface are straight to the point, but allow customizing for the more advanced user. Overall it handled transfers pretty well.
I liked how you can move modules of the interface around, but some modules like the trace module wouldn't go to some places. If they are gonna be repositional then make them repositional and not limit a few areas.
I also had some problems using the Quick Connect connecting different users to the same domain. I set up a connection in the Site Manager and used it for a bit then disconnected. I opened the Quick Connect and logged in as a different user at the same FTP site and it kept logging me in with the previous user. I proved this by looking at the log on the FTP server.
Also when I disconnect from a server it dosen't really seem to disconnect. It just dims the FTP directory listing, but if you try to transfer a file or something again it just performs the action. It dosen't state that it is reconnecting or anything, it just acts like it never disconnected.
