Publisher's Description
From St. Clair Software:
Default Folder is a control panel that enhances Open and Save dialog boxes to make it easier for you to manage files on your Macintosh. It provides many of the essential features of commercial utilities like SuperBoomerang, Action Files, and Directory Assistance, but without the infrequently used extras that take their toll in compatibility, memory, and CPU usage. Default Folder is fully compatible with Mac OS 9, and supports both Standard File and Navigation Services Open and Save dialogs.
What's new in this version: For security-conscious users, Default Folder 3.1.5 adds the ability to erase your list of recently used folders so other users can't see where you've been. It also corrects a problem which prevented Default Folder from remembering some recently used folders, and improves compatibility with Carbon applications.

"Best. System. Addition. Ever."
Version: Default Folder 3.1.5
Pros
Saves time and frustration every time I use the Save or Open Dialog box.
Cons
Cons? None. I love it!
Summary
It took me a while to learn to use the "click on background finder window to navigate the open or save dialog to that folder" feature. Once learned, this is an amazingly fast and powerful feature. If you work on multiple jobs for multiple clients in nested folders, THIS IS A MUST!

"CNET, it's up to 4.2.10 you fools."
Version: Default Folder 3.1.5
Pros
I'll just let people know on macupdate.com the Pros of the correct version, won't I?
Cons
The cons? The fact that CNET is off to a horrible start.
Summary
Not off to a good start replacing Versiontracker, CNET... Default Folder is up to fricken Default Folder 4.3.10 and your sitting here showing 3.1.5 as the latest version. And I don't see anywhere to report this to you guys like I could with VT. LAME.
But on the plus side, I now have sh*t tons of clutter in between my and my app info. Sorry, I?m not interested in "On The Insider: Angelina Jolie's New Tattoo" ... at f@#king all.
Oh well, thank god for macupdate.com

Updated on Sep 11, 2010or rather, it's up to 4.3.10 not 4.2.10... but then again... it's not really MY job to keep "track" of these things, is it? sigh...........
