DBF Viewer 2000 is a viewer and editor for DBF files (Clipper, dBase, FoxBase, Foxpro, Visual Foxpro, Visual DBase, VO, DB2K). You can view, edit, sort, use query by example, delete duplicates, create, print database tables and export the data from them to a variety of formats (Dbase III, Dbase IV, Visual Foxpro, TXT, CSV, Excel, HTML, XML, PRG, SQL) without using any packages. In the contrast with similar programs all functions of the DBF Viewer 2000 work in an order much faster. The program also allows viewing and editing of memo fields in dBase III, dBase IV, FoxPro, VFP and DB2K formats. DBF Viewer 2000 does not require external drivers for connection to databases (ODBC, BDE).
What's new in this version: Version 4.97 has added the ability to show the physical record number for sorted records and improved exporting of dbf to MySQL.

Feature request 'DELIVERED' in 24 hours :-) ... and on a weekend too!!!
We asked for the "Tools > Delete Duplicates" function to 'Keep the Last record' when a set of duplicate records was discovered. The default behaviour is to Keep the First and delete subsequent records.
The modified app was with us in hours and worked perfectly. Fantastic support ... wish everyone gave support like this.Cons
Given the capabilites of this tool the cons are 'REALLY' minor:
For example: when filtering, you need to be careful you are seeing the expected record set. Typically, if you recently used the 'view > only deleted' filter, you should confirm the state is appropriate for the new lookup. ... just good practice. -

If you work with DBF files, this product is a must-have. I've been using the product for more than 5 years and never had a glitch. Support is excellent - I wish there were more companies with the same attention to detail.

None. As far as I am concerned it is rock solid.

Blazing fast, very good presentation, flexible record filtering, the Wide search finds items without needing to know the field name. It runs so fast that you only need to think what you are looking for, and it is there. I have reviewed other competitive products and they do not come close. They range from primitive to clunky. The technical support, if you need it, is immediate and very helpful.

Blazing fast. Very flexible: the new operators for equal, not equal, EMPTY, etc., allow complicated searches. The new Wide Search and Wide Filter speed up searches and find information that is in unknown field. Perfect support.

If you are looking for a quick way to export dbf information into other formats this is the software to use. The command line interface works great and it is easy to automate repetitive tasks. Must have software if you have to operate with legacy dbase files including Foxpro.
