Bloatware that tried to take over my PC. It was playing wack-a-mole to get rid of all the pieces because as I uninstalled parts, the remaining parts reinstalled what I had just uninstalled. Finally had to kill link with the web, and then uninstall each part.
Summary
I wasted a half almost an hour figuring out what was on my PC, and then getting rid of it all. CNET should have mentioned that if you install PhotoDirector, it would also automatically install PowerDirector and that they would resist uninstall.
