CrystalClear Interface (CCI) is a powerful system add-on that allows users to customize their Mac's natural beauty in a variety of ways. The software gives you control over the transparency, color and style of your application windows. It includes an alternative set of buttons that you can use to replace the default Aqua style. In addition, CCI includes a large set of document icons--Crystal Documents--that you can install if you choose. CCI makes changing your interface simple by providing a set of eight preset themes. Or, you can mix and match the choices to suit your taste. CrystalClear Interface also integrates a set of text tools for maximizing your productivity when writing or editing, and it lets you enable Single Application Mode (SAM)--a great solution for eliminating Window Clutter and helping you focus on the task at hand. Finally, CCI includes several "Extra" enhancements, including some interface "fluff" like window animations and gloss.
What's new in this version:
- Incorporates the Embossed Nickel button theme for Snow Leopard users.
- Adds functionality to let users create and save their own custom window themes, in addition to the 10 built-in, preset themes.
- Fixed bug in uninstaller alert message that appears when CCI is incompatible with installed OS.
- Fixed code that could cause launch problems with iWork apps when verifying presence of AppMenu Magic. Reworked approach for determining presence of all MarsThemes plugins.

I tried this horrible software, and it completely messed up my system. I could do nothing. It would not uninstall, and then the maker said it was all my fault. I ended up picking out the files manually, and my system is still showing ill effects.
Summary
This man should not be allowed to distribute this thing. It must be almost entirely untested, and whoever wrote the code clearly has no competence at all. Do not try it! You may lose your entire operating system. I have never seen software this terrible in 25 years of running Macs.

I used this on my MPB running Lion. It completely disrupted my system to the point where I had to uninstall it. The uninstall was not clean and required me to run the uninstaller a few times. My Safari settings were reset, as were mail, etc...

It doesn't tell you that if you let it change your icons and run the uninstaller it will not revert your icons. You have to use the installer with in the installed program. Even still that didn't work completely.

This is currently the only program for MAC OS 10.6 that allows you to change the outlook of system interface. For only 12 dollars this little helpful utility is an amazing deal.
Ok for some reason some programs dont really start up after installing CrystalClear and when I try to get rid of it it wouldn't uninstall.
Beside a couple of cons I still give CrystalCeal four stars. It deserves that.

Really like this product . Has built colour themes, to enable you to change
the whole appearance of screen on all applications. Each day I select
a totally different look. You can easily alter colour backgrounds, styles of
window etc etc. At a great price
