This simple yet effective application quickly captures the full path of a folder or file and places it on your Clipboard for easy access. CopyPath doesn't have a dedicated interface, but using it is as simple as right-clicking a folder or file. The program integrates with the context menu, offering an option to Copy File Path or Copy Folder Path, depending on which one is selected. You then can easily paste the full path into any text editor.

There are no extras to be found in this application, but it gets the job done. CopyPath worked perfectly in testing, and it's a bit quicker than grabbing the path from Windows Explorer's address bar. Very handy for XP
Cons
Even though I was careful to not let the installed add extra programs, it installed search toolbars in IE. It also knocked out my network connection once a day and wouldn't even let me run the task manager. After removing all these annoying programs, my PC is happy again.
Summary
Nice program, but take now of what new programs get installed along with it and remove them ASAP!

Gadgets Are Cool -- But Is There a Gadget-Free Way?

It's good to have a gadget when you are at home (or on your own machine, etc).
Cons
Dependence upon gadgets can actually become a liability when using machines that don't belong to you.
Summary
Use this gadget, at home and do the following elsewhere: Create a shortcut. Open the shortcut's Properties window and copy the Path and FileName from the first panel.

I am so glad I found this app -- I had been getting so annoyed with my roundabout way of sending document paths to my coworkers. Simple, easy, makes for one less office vexation to gripe about.

It does what it says it does. Having the ability to copy a complete path from a context menu makes life so much easier.

CopyPath is a small utility used to copy the full path and file name of any file or folder to your Windows clipboard. Simply right-click any file or folder and choose Copy File Path or Copy Folder Path and paste it where you need it.
