Publisher's Description
From Jozef Starosczyk:
Copy Handler program is a small tool designed for copy/move files and folders between different storage medias (hard disks, floppy disks, local networks, CD-ROMs and many other). Some of the advantages of this software: copying data at rates up to 6-7 times faster than standard MS Windows copying (when copying data from one partition to another on the same physical hard disk); allow full-control over the copying/moving process by pause, resume, restart and cancel features; multiple languages support and more may appear, and since the translation process is quite easy.

"careful, when uninstalling,it will restart your system"
Version: Copy Handler 1.28
Pros
free
allows filter out files (only files)Cons
BE CAREFUL: restarts windows on un-install without clearly asking, if you want it, so better be sure that you want it
does not allow to add folders to filtered out files, hence pretty useless - if allows, then it does not workSummary
you can do without it

"This is not the program for me but it does the job..."
Version: Copy Handler 1.28
Pros
Does the job. Simple. Does not use too much ram. No need to hard installation. Quickly loads. Easy to understand. Have many functions to into account. User friendly.
Cons
Seem to have a bug where program turns into a whole different language (from English to something entirely different). Redownload and Reinstall but sometimes it still happens. Main thing for me was that Teracopy did the job for me with hassle free.
Summary
Teracopy was a candidate to be tested for Copy programs. Though CH is good, advanced than TC, and did the jobs I asked of it or require within a function, but TC allow drag and drop files into box, saves location, saves all previous selection, quick copy/move/delete. For me TC was better therefore I went with it.

"Makes transferring hundreds of gigabytes a breeze"
Version: Copy Handler 1.28
Pros
I've been given the task of moving hundreds of 300-2000 megabyte files around different drives on a weekly basis on Windows XP machines. Copy Handler easily adds the files to a queue and moves them without slowing down the PC like Windows copy does.
Cons
none that I know of, program works perfectly
Summary
Like I said in the "Pros", I would start copying files with "copy", then decide I wanted to copy additional files, but starting the new copy process meant XP tried to do both at once, slowing down both copy processes, and forget about trying to copy additional files. Many times I'd just leave my PC running overnight copying three groups of a few dozen gigabytes. With copy handler I right-click, chose "copy", then tell it where to copy the files to and it starts. Then if I want to copy more files I do the same thing and it adds the new files to the bottom of the queue, to begin when the current files are done copying.
Fantastic! This program is a real lifesaver and I happily donated some money. I'm using 1.28 but I see 1.31 is out but I'm afraid to upgrade because 1.28 does exactly what I need it to do. -
"Doesn't work with my vista"
Version: Copy Handler 1.28
Pros
Can't see one as it is not working, always crashing...
Cons
Looks like a good software, but I'd prefer teracopy

"Does a far better job than Windows on its own"
Version: Copy Handler 1.28
Pros
Queues multiple copy jobs instead of trying to do three at once and hoping Windows sorts everything out okay. Makes log files. Can shut down when finished. Extremely easy to use.
Cons
Unusual install process, and usage is a bit vague.
Summary
Keep in mind, I'm the type that does not go hunting for readme or help files until I've already figured out the basics and I want to go deeper or figure out why something is not working like I think it should. That being said, I think the program should probably hold the users hand a bit more right at first.
It doesn't install...it's just a .exe that you have to run, and then it runs as a shell.
When you copy and paste something, it looks like it didn't work until you go looking for the status box of the program and see the neatly arranged jobs.
Other than that, the program is perfect for my needs, which are basically to copy large files to a second drive into different folders without bogging the system down to the point that it's useless until finished. It just took a bit of poking around, but nothing huge. -
"Fast, easy, efficient way to copy files"
Version: Copy Handler 1.28
Pros
Installs to the right click menu (optional) so you can use it to copy and move files instead of the built in windows program. It is small and efficient and doesn't stop copying if it finds an error. Keeps a log.
Cons
No frills.
-
"This is the file copy/transfer/move utility to have"
Version: Copy Handler 1.28
Pros
This software is great, I tried TeraCopy, which is great, but all in all this has more features and its free
-
"Works but I need to play with it some more"
Version: Copy Handler 1.28
Pros
Works really well for flaky network connections that I sometimes deal with.
Cons
I need to play with it some more, because it doesn't seem to auto reconnect when it regains connection, and I would like it to automatically fill in the "TO" field.

"Piece of Cake"
Version: Copy Handler 1.28
Pros
Has a lot of great features. Super user friendly. Prograsm works flawlessly. Adjustable buffer, Auto Shutdown ect..
It is extremely helpful in transfering files.
Cons
When I transferred a large amount of files they seem to Fragment.

"Copies/moves files like windows _should_ do it"
Version: Copy Handler 1.28
Pros
This little program fills in a big windows hole: copying and moving files without a flaw. When you have to copy a large amount of files, it's nice to be able to pause the operation and even nicer to know that the operation will not break on a file error. I know you can do the same thing with xcopy but it's much easier to do this right from explorer and without remembering the correct switches. | in short: does what it's supposed to do, no more, no less... | no setup needed: runs right away. | can be translated | is highly configurable | it's free
Cons
- Can be overwhelming for non tech users at first.
