This dynamic, user-friendly stock ticker is a great tool for traders, despite its trial limitations. CoolTick Stock Ticker needs a Net connection to work. Just like the tickers on Wall Street, this program scrolls the ticker name and current prices of your favorite stocks on a display bar. This bar can be easily resized or placed anywhere on your desktop. You also can control the speed and direction of the ticker or change font or color options. If you click a stock, a Web page opens displaying more detailed information about the stock and its history. We especially like the option to set alerts, whether for a stock price or for portfolio size. The only drawback we could find was the trial limitations. Even though you only can enter two stock tickers in the demo version, we found that was still sufficient to judge the program's merits. For day traders or those who enjoy the action on Wall Street, this compact, straightforward program is a good investment.Publisher's Description

"Best desktop Stock Ticker I've found"
Version: CoolTick Stock Ticker 8.62
Pros
I've researched Desktop Stock Tickers since Aug 2011. I trade with Scottrade and am also registered with CNBC, but can't find any ticker better than CoolTick. I've been using the Trial version for 9 months, and have decided to pay the $19.95, to show more than 2 stock quotes. I love the high and low stock alerts, sound and popup! *** CoolTick most always runs problem free, along with my Google Chrome Browser, Google Apps, Firefox Browser and all Microsoft Office and System Applications.

Limit of two symbols show for Trial users, $19.95 for unlimited symbols
Summary
*** I tend to run my PC, Cooltick and Google Chrome 24/7. Every few days I might find the ticker has stopped and my Google Chrome Browser tabs have disappeared. After closing and re-running both Cooltick & my Browser, things are back to normal for the next few days. For those that shut down their systems daily, this problem may not occur.
