  Correctly verifies the type and status of SSL certificate a web-site holds.

  Only occasionally stops working after an update to Windows or Mozilla. But that is corrected in short order, in my experience.

  Summary

  This handy utility goes farther than the built in browser certificate checker to let you know if the SSL certificate is actually up to standards and verifiable. If not, you don't really know who could be operating that certificate, and could easily be a front uperation only looking like the site you though you were on!!! It is a good idea to go to a trusted source like networking4all to find out just exactly what all else might be wrong with the certificate, as this can help you understand such things; and also provides information on how to correct the problems, to provide web-masters suggestions on how to get their prospective certifications in order. Surprisingly Comodo does no sale pushing on this process, and it would be tempting for them to do so. But it is enough that they have their venerable name associated with the service utility. Only the problem with the site is shown when you click the padlock on your browser denoting the SSL symbol for security in communications. Comodo does a good job keeping it updated for Internet Explorer and FireFox updates. It DOES NOT slow your computer down! I use this utility on fast and slow old PCs and I notice NO hit in performance at all! I do not work for any company or person; I just expect web safety for shoppers everywhere!

  it works kinda for 2 or 3 websites

  slows your computer down and is annoying with pop up frame around websites you know are real (ex: yes i know google is real no duh)
