Version: CableNut 4.08
Pros: Every conceivable internet setting can be adjusted with this program but it also comes with "presets".
Cons: These presets, at least for dial-up are extremely limited. I had to search the internet to find someone who had all the settings that I needed and even then I did not notice any improvement. If you don't know what or how to set each and every setting the way YOU want, you won't find this utility useful as the others have. I highly recommend using TZ Connection Booster, DFU eTweaker or SG TCP optimizer. Here's the kicker though, if you download Advanced WindowsCare and run it after you adjust any settings, it'll say there are problems that need to be fixed. I used TZ Connection Booster and Advanced WindowsCare now because together they don't cause any conflicts with my Windows XP configurations. I feel confident that I have maxed out my dial-up connection and I don't experience any outrageous disconnections. The others seemed to also cause my connection to "time out" and slow my performance. So, if you have dial-up and want the most out of your connection, use Advanced WindowsCare and TZ Connection Booster. That's just my opinion.

Version: CableNut 4.08
Pros: It takes two minutes to set up and 30 seconds to undo (although I found no reason to). I now have a cable connection that runs at 4mb/sec (T1 speed!).
Cons: Check out the Read Me first as the program does not explain its choice of settings via its interface. A very small inconvenience considering the price - FREE!
