Easy to install, simple to use, did exactly what I expected it to do.
Migrating from a beat-up but much-loved BB Torch 9800 with >1500 contacts that I had accumulated over a 15 year professional career to a new Android device. Tried other solutions but there was too much data loss in the transfer process as the CSV files that were being generated was not correctly formatted. This took all of 5 minutes, transferred everything with no problems. Worth every cent.
Not fully described that BB 10 is not supported yet.
Paid $24.95 for nothing. Don't waste your money
Download was a breeze, however when I was in the process of extracting my previous BB 10, it gave me a prompt: "Blackberry 10 backups are not supported yet" I need my contacts uploaded to my new iPhone 5s and was not successful at the store when I traded it in. I was not worried because I have backed up my data prior to trading it in.
It has been a nightmare just getting my contacts loaded into my new iPhone 5s. Now I purchase this and it doesn't work. I want my money back!
Hello Friend, sorry you waste your money due a missinformation in the post.
If you still did not get back the money, could i get the licence number as a gift from you? I mean, this way at least it be usefull to somebody.
Awesome customer support. Simple to the point software. Gives you the option as to what you want to extract so you don't have to do everything if you don't want to.
I haven't run into any cons.
BlackBerry Backup Extractor is the simple best way to go and I wouldn't use anything else. Their customer support team is quick to respond to any questions or help you need which is a big factor when buying online software. This app has exceeded my expectations.
It was worth the money. Easy to download and to follow the instructions. Once downloaded it converts into an excel spreadsheets and the columns can be sorted according to your preferances. I missed placed by user, password and email the support team member Teodor Catalin helped with the unique and key code.
There were no Cons for me
Thank you to Teodor Catalin for the prompt response and outstanding customer service.
However.. It restricts extracts to 4 items. The description on CNET says the restriction is to 4 FILES - not 4 items from a single extracted database file. So basically you have to stump up £15. That's fine - but users need to be made aware of that before downloading.
And also select the Custom install settings otherwise you will end up installing all sorts of crap.
Personally - I uninstalled it as I was just peeved.
I'm sure it works but the download info is misleading.
We appreciate all comments good or bad (we prefer constructive if poss ;) However we would like to take the time to respond to yours as it raises concerns for everyone.
A few Anti-virus did flash this download (not app inside) up as Malware and a Trojan. This was in fact a false positive on MSE caused by the selected offer engine, the maker of which says, submitted un-ethically by a competitor.
Microsoft were notified and updated their information very quickly. So any AV's effected should now have been updated correctly by now. Of course everyone is more than welcome to test with their AVs, it is better to be safe than sorry.
CNET also verify that downloads are safe and are tested thoroughly on their websites. Otherwise it would hugely diminish their reputation, this is why people use CNET instead of websites directly in many cases.
We have requested CNET take this post down, again we didn't want to do this without an explanation first.
Works with encrypted backups and with both BBB and IPD backups.
Guess we could use a better interface, but not that important though.
Worth every penny, I recovered key data from a backup I thought it's lost until discovering this software. I've tried other software as well but this is clearly the most useful one. This app saved the day!
