Birthday Reminder is a simple program that reminds users of important birthdays. There's not much to it, but it does provide birthday reminders as promised.

The program's interface is sparse, consisting only of a space to enter a name and birth date. There's really not much else to do, and the built-in Help file confirms this by saying, in essence, "Enter birthdays and the program will remind you of them." The only preference that can be set is for when the reminders appear; users can choose anytime from three days before the birthday to the date itself. Users can also create a back-up of the birthdays in case the file needs to be restored. And that is the entirety of Birthday Reminder's functionality. Although it's a very simple program, it does what it's supposed to do, with one important caveat: the program displays birthdays when the user's computer is started up. For users who go days without rebooting, this program will be useless.

Birthday Reminder is a free program. It comes as a ZIP file and leaves a folder behind upon removal. We recommend this program to users who need a bare-bones birthday reminder and who restart their computers daily; for other users, there are reminders that are better integrated with other programs and offer more functionality.

They tried to hack into my Email account

Thet do do what they say (I.E. Remind you when Birthdays are).

When I signed up with them (I.E. created a new acount), as is standard, I gave them my email adress, and created a password for this new account.Perhapse unwisely, I used the same password (to sign up) as I do for my email acount. Next thing I know, Google is telling me about a suspicious sign in from Calafornia. So I check out the I.P. adress provided by Google, lo and behold it's the I.P. adress of "Birthday Reminder . com". I tried contacting them, but got no responce.

BEWARE - Program overwrites existing system files!

This program looks like it was put together back in the Windows 98 days (or earlier.) When it actually started trying to overwrite my system files in the Windows folder, I cancelled the install altogether. You think I'm going to trust my system files to this hack job? Even though I aborted the install, I still feel like my system was defiled by this garbage.

Pretty simple... enter name of the person and then their birthday in two number month/day format and it sets it up for you. Menu offers you the chance to be reminded the day of, 1, 2, or 3 days in advance.
Cons
None really.. don't expect miracles though.. it's a free product :)
