BS1 Enterprise Accounting provides a simple way to view many aspects of small business accounting. While the program was easy to use and effective, it lacks added accounting tools its free cousin provides.
We were initially surprised to find this program's interface consisted primarily of a desktop toolbar. However, the Help file's tutorial showed us that this was actually a benefit to keep things simple, and we agreed. With this toolbar we cycled through various accounting departments like Accounts Payable and Receivable, Accounts, Sales, and Inventory. Each was organized in a pop-up window with a grid outlining each product and its financial impact in that particular area. These were exceptionally easy to drag around and arrange onscreen. The program even provided a Filter feature that allowed us to search through each category for specific information. While we were pleased with the results, we don't think it's as complete as BS1's Free Edition, which is the same program, but with additional Sales Orders and Purchase Orders options, which provide a clearer financial picture for small businesses.
BS1 Enterprise Accounting is a freeware program. It leaves folders behind after uninstall. While the program worked well, we do not recommend it, since another free version provides the same tools and more.

BS1 Accounting is a multi-currency accounting software program, with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, inventory, and sales analysis. It is upgradable to BS1 Professional for time billing or to BS1 Enterprise for sales orders, purchase orders, and manufacturing. Payables and receivables are tracked separately for each currency, and the GL automatically converts revenues and expenses to domestic currency.
User-defined financial statements can be created through a simple set-up process. GL account totals and inventory totals can be viewed onscreen with drill-down to original source transactions. Sample data is provided and an optional getting started wizard. Delphi source code is available.
What's new in this version: Easier GL account selection and various other improvements.

Easy to Install. Small and Compact for a small operation or business of 5 employees or less. With little or no expectation of development.
Cons
Unless you are an Accounting Major, this is not the program to use. You really have to go back to Accounting 101 Analog to work this product. Not as simply as it looks like.
Don't recommended for the weak of heart.Summary
While the product do has great potential to advance and grow. You are not going to find it with this version. Overall, you really need to know your Accounting and Bookkeeping to know who to use this product. If you don't know, or un familiar with the Accounting Principles, it can cause a lot of headaches.

start up screen too small. Pop up screen slightly bigger, about 1/4 of my screen size. Bigger is better. I'd rather they disable something else rather than the print function.

I downloaded a few others but ran into problems on all of them. This one has everything I need and was exactly what I wanted. It's a basic program but works very well. I'm glad I found it.

Pros
As long as you know your debit and credit entries, you should not face any problem. Transactions and master files edit open in new windows. Suitable for small biz enterprise.
Cons
Forex a bit difficult and needs more than LCC Bookeeping standard. Inventory figures not linked to AR/AP and only 2 costing mode. FIFO cannot apply. Also, reports difficult to modify and still not sure how to convert to Excel.
Summary
Apart from the inventory and forex, the application is very suitable for my small trading business. However, import/export in foreign currency should be converted to local currency in order to key in transactions smoothly. For the inventory, I have to choose standard cost since I cannnot apply FIFO. Finally, for the reports, once I closed the period, I re-key the final data into Excel and format whichever way I wished. Free and easy - what more you ask for?

2 tax codes, allowing use of VAT and withholding tax.
However, not possible to customise invoices and billing run done manually
