  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />With this version, I've been able to tunnel to work with Exchange, ftp, telnet, web, SMB, NFS, AFP and X-Windows all from behind a home NAT. I have a tunnel open now that's been open for 16 hours and still working.

I often have to disconnect and reconnect multiple times to get my client to work properly. Upon first connecting, I am unable to send email. Other times it will work, but then MS Remote Desktop won't. Then both will work, but I cannot stay connected to shared drives. I called support numerous times. They never called me back and when they said they would. I had to call them back each and every time. They had me try a couple things that did not make any difference, but the things they had me try were obviously first level trouble shooting at best. Support supposedly sent my issues to the developers, but I never heard from them. When I called back the support tech, Janet, to find out what the developers had figured out, she said, "They have no idea what the problem is, so we can't help you. If you want to negotiate a refund from us, let me know." Lame, lame, lame. Apani is the equivalent of the DMV. No competition so you are stuck with a weak product with even weaker customer service. Oh, and all that for the exorbitant price of $95.00. I wish that Nortel would force them to fix it, or come out with their own client. Maybe someone from Nortel will see our remarks. As my company uses Nortel, I am stuck with this. Hopefully if you are an IT buyer and contemplating the purchase of a VPN solution that needs to work with Macs, you will avoid Nortel (and subsequentally Apani) at all costs.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Well, after more than a year, the MTU problem introduced with Tiger is still not fixed in 3.3. The connection hangs due to fragmented UDP packets continue. I guess when you're the only game in town for the Contivity, customer service must not be a priority.
