  - Youtube downloader with many choices of quality - Torrent downloader with magnet link, search torrent trackers - Support many file types - Beautiful interface

  - Low downloading speed sometimes - Download link catching not so good (may be of limitation of MacOS)

  Limited hosting sites and limited browser integration ( e.g. Chrome) Costs money Much better downloaders for Mac out there and free.

  Being new to Mac stupidly bought this app without trying it out. Assumed that coming from Apple Store it would be half decent.Live and learn.

  I've had this since OS 9 and it has always been great.

  Cons

  I do not have any negatives.

  Summary

  A great download manager that does work in Lion. I simply do not know what all of these other comments are talking about it not working in Lion. I use it several times a day. You may have an older plug-in still installed. Allow Speed Download to install the latest plug-in.
