1. Fairly fast.
2. Has removed every password that I have tried it on except a couple of Windows 7 that had special set ups.Cons
It seems very slow with Server 2003.
Summary
It is much faster than calling a customer that has forgotten to giveme the password for their computer or has given me a password for a non-administrative user.

FeeDOS based boot disk image is easily added to Ultimate Boot CD

I haven't played around with the Windows PE version of the boot CD yet because the DOS version does everything i need it too and quickly.Cons
With the trial version you are limited to just resetting the password to blank.
THIS SOFTWARE WILL NOT WORK ON SERVERS! - Server systems on a domain do not use a SAM database that a desktop computer uses. Server passwords must be changed via the MMC. (Not really a Con they can fix more of an FYI for all the users out there).
Does not work if your System uses a Full Hard Disk encryption method (BitLocker). The encryption must be removed before you can access the SAM database (this is the case for all offline password changers).Summary
I am very surprised that the C|Net folks could not get this software to work. It seamed very easy for me.
I would recommend this software to any IT personnel for their toolkit and i frequently do. It is a powerful tool and is definitely with the price. -

Downloaded the app(not this free demo one) burned to disc, put in the computer(make sure cd/dvd drive is 1st in boot sequence. ran app, restarted and access granted!!! -

At least for me, it doesn't work plain and simple. I've used the demo version which I downloaded from C-Net and I bought their "Active@ Password Changer Professional 3.8" personal version from the publisher's website. Both versions will not work.
Summary
Buy it at your own risk. It may work for you. For me, I just wasted $49.50.
Just making a correction. I paid $49.95 for this unusable software, not $49.50.
