Despite a few negatives, this audio ripper and converter gives you a nice degree of control over your finished files. However, we didn't appreciate Acoustica Audio Converter Pro automatically associating itself with every audio file on our PC without asking permission. You can use the main interface to choose among WAV, MP3, OGG, and WMA formats, select audio quality, and enable VBR, and we were glad to see the inclusion of normalization, a feature not always found in this type of program. Once you've specified all settings for your output files, you simply right-click on any song or on your CD drive to begin converting or ripping. The CD ripper did a good job of grabbing ID3 tags from the Internet, and the ability to specify how many PC resources to allow the program to use is a nice plus. Multitaskers will find this feature handy. If you don't mind this program's tendency to associate itself with all your tunes, it makes a quality pick.Publisher's description
From Acoustica :This user-friendly audio converter changes MP3, WAV, WMA, CDA, and OGG files with just a right click. It seamlessly integrates into Windows, and is always accessible without bringing up a clunky, screen-hogging interface. Its high-quality 32-bit converter engine makes professional-quality conversions to and from the most common audio formats. This application also includes an integrated, audio CD ripper. Version 1.0 b18 fixes some bugs regarding MP3 conversion and supports WMA on just installed Windows XP SP2.
>Version 1.0 b22 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.

Version: Acoustica Audio Converter Pro 1.0 b22
"pretty good but strange (?) install - too expensive - no support"
Pros: it works
Cons: no support - strange install
-
Version: Acoustica Audio Converter Pro 1.0 b22
"Deceptive and a waste of money"
Pros: Not a real trial version, you will have to buy it. Once bought, it does not work very well. Company offers support, but that's a sham. I will be charging back my credit card to get my money back. DON"T DO THIS OK?
Cons: Software will apparently only allow for the conversion of whole folders of materials, and then it tells you nothing about what is going on. TRY SOMETHING ELSE> ANYTHING ELSE. This is a kindergarten software for shumcks. I will have to charge back my credit card to get out of this. Save your self some time. Don't Download this crap!

Version: Acoustica Audio Converter Pro 1.0 b22
"very basic program, does what it does quickly and easily"
Pros: It's very easy to use, but it did NOT have CDA, at least that I could find. Simple, effective, fast.
Cons: I wish it had more 'bells and whistles' as options. I wish it did the conversion to cda format.
