Version: AL Clocks 1
Pros: I like the amazingly small file size and memory footprint.
Cons: Everything, almost.
the clock is H-U-G-E!
I mean huge. It just appears, no install, just click the exe and you're good to go. It appears on the left side of the desktop and on mine (screen resolution: 1152x864) it tok about a quarter of screen width and over half screen depth!
Erm, I don't want to upset the author here as it is the first posting of his program but I must tell you...it really is ugly too.
there are no options! no options to resize, to remove the digital clock from the bottom of the window (it is a large generic windows window with title bar on and like the average windows dialogue). Seems stupid to have a massive Analogue face taking half the screen height and then also a huge digit digital clock at the bottom of that too?
I really hope the author can do some things to this and maybe I would look at it again.
Here are some possible improvements.
Either remove the digital part altogether OR make it optional!
Make the default clock (or window) size MUCH smaller and have an option to select to go to a different size. Like small, medium, larger, larger etc.
Give the numbers a better size in relation to the clock face size. they are so small and yet the clock is huge.
I kno wthis next one may be difficult but can you work out how to make it so that it does not appear as a windows generic window, title bar and all...?
I mean, most programs like this have it so that they use an image background and the edges of that image are transparent so that all that appears on screen is the round ness of the clockface and not a big old looking window.
I hope you continue to develop your skills and good luck!
