From A9Tech :A general purpose 2-dimensional CAD program. It supports industry standard DWG/DXF drawing formats. With A9CAD you can draw shapes such as line, rectangle, circle, poly-line, text and dimension; performing drawing modifications like move, scale, rotate, explode, trim, fillet and mirror; edit color, fill mode, line type and line width; change entity attributes via properties window. Manage drawing styles and settings and configure drawing environments.
Version 2.2.1 includes minor bug fixes.

"Look great as a free AutoCAD substitute. Shame about the fatal flaw."
Pros: The software looks and feels like a cut down AutoCAD. It only does 2D, but if you're happy with that and familiar with AutoCAD, you'll immediately know how to use this software. It has all the important features and is less bloated than Acad.
Cons: It took me 10 minutes to discover a deal breaking bug. Every time I try to move an object from one layer to another, A9CAD quits out. There's no error message it just vanishes. Maybe this is compatibility issue with my graphics card or something like that but it's pretty much unusable for me.

"Very useful program for people familiar with Autocad."
Pros: It's free but with plenty of possibilities. Es prou complert per ser gratuit.
Cons: Would be nice to have customizable language in menues and messages. Seria bonic poguer-lo veure en catala.

Cons: No tiene forma de cambiar de idioma (solo ingles) y tiene problemas si los archivos manejan layouts

Pros: Has lots of AutoCAD 2D commands even with the same icons. You'll feel right at home if you've used AutoCAD R14, 2000, 2000i or 2002.
Cons: Not many negatives. Some could be fixed by purchasing the Pro version for $30.
Summary: This is bar none the best free CAD I've ever found!
