Much more interactive than its competitors, Zuma Pro is great fun. This portable VJ application lets you control its 60-plus animations in real time using hot keys and sliders. You can move around inside a scene, take snapshots, and even record the visuals as they unfold. If you're really ambitious, you can create your own scenes, combining background, objects, and light. Using the editor requires a bit of learning, but it's simpler than using your average 3D graphics program. Music lovers will find Zuma Pro an addictive toy, but its power and $179 price make it best suited to serious VJs who want to do more than dabble.
