Who wants to search dozens of job sites for that next position? The ZipRecruiter Job Search app facilitates landing your next position by aggregating listings from hundreds of job boards in one place and expediting the job application process.

Pros

Easy to start up: Download the ZipRecruiter app and upon launch, you'll be asked for your minimum salary requirement. Enter it and agree to notifications, and you'll receive job alerts that meet this minimum. Then sign up with Facebook or your email address, which you're forced to verify, then your name, and you're in.

Easily build your profile: ZipRecruiter pushes you to flesh out your employee profile in order to generate more interest from employers. To enhance your profile, add your phone number, import your resume in one tap (or build one), and add a photo.

Profiles feature: The Profiles feature prompts users to fill in missing information and recommends ways they can optimize profile content.

Easy to search: The app defaults to a suggested jobs page, where ZipRecruiter delivers opportunities that are relevant to a job seeker's skills and experience using AI-powered smart-matching technology.

You can also browse by Popular Searches, such as No Experience, Part-Time, Customer Service, Trucking, Sales, and Warehouse. Once you input a search, such as Part-Time, for example, you'll be taken to a results page that you can further filter by tapping the Sorting button on the top right and then the Best Match or Newest First buttons. You can also search positions by the date they were posted.

Easily apply now: You can apply to any job now, on the go, if it's a Mobile Apply listing. Tap on the job, then 1-Tap Apply, and your resume will be submitted instantly.

Or later: If it's a Desktop Apply job, then you'll probably want to apply later, because you'll be taken to a company or recruiter's own site and will have to endure a more grueling application process that you'll want to be in front of your computer to perform. To create a list of Desktop Apply jobs to submit applications to later, simply tap the heart button on the top right of the job listing and it'll be moved to the My Jobs section for easy access later. You can also save entire searches to come back to later.

Notifications when applications have been viewed: Just so you know you're not applying to job postings in vain, you'll receive a notification when your resume has been viewed by a job poster.

Job search tracking: If you can't remember if you've applied for a position, no problem. Just tap on the My Jobs tab and you'll be taken to your list of Applied Jobs.

Secure job searching: No candidates want to be screwed over during their job search. To help prevent this, ZipRecruiter has a blog job seekers can access through the Messages tab that's all about avoiding job scams. For example, if a job poster asks you to wire them money or share credit card or social security info with them, then it's wise to cease contact. Daily emails with targeted job listings: You can sign up to receive daily emails with the best-matched jobs in your inbox.

Cons

Error while saving resume, at first: After we uploaded our resume, we received an error when trying to save it to ZipRecruiter. After a few tries, though, it was finally saved.
