  Summary

  It's a pleasant game. Not too many frills. It will show you when you have input a wrong number (you can turn off this feature). You can "pencil" in guesses, click on a hint button for help, and earn trophies. It makes you finish one Sudoku puzzle before starting another which I don't like. It will not tell you how many puzzles you have completed at a particular level just the overall number finished. This makes it hard if you want to know how many puzzles of a level you have completed. The music is pleasant; but, it does get redundant. It has helped me hone my skills. The puzzles fill most of the screen from top to bottom.

  Pros

  Beautiful Zen-like Japanese graphics, animations, background music and sounds. A relaxing, tranquil version of Sudoku with higher levels that provide plenty of challenge. Well-designed hint and mark (pencil-in) features.

  Cons

  No dynamic resolution or multiple resolutions available other than full screen which is fuzzy looking due to stretching or window mode that is too small on today's large monitors. Still enjoyable to play though.

  Summary

  If you like sudoku, you'll appreciate having Zen of Sudoku in your collection. To avoid video issues on Vista and Win 7, make sure you get version 1.01 and not 1.0.0 which some game sites are still selling.
