  This software can download from https, not a lot of programs offer this function. All you need to do is provide the URL and it downloads the file/video successfully. It suits my needs. Two thumbs up.

  Pros

  This is the best download manager I have found so far. And I have tried ALL the others on downloads.com. I have only one tiny almost non issue with the program and I listed that in the cons part of my review. But this program will catch anything and I do mean anything the computer downloads. When I did a windows update XDM tried to grab that even lol. I use it for videos and music downloading only. But it will try and grab everything if you let it. And it works very well with chrome too. I have often found other managers work great with say firefox but are crap when it comes to chrome, not XDM.

  Cons

  My only issue and its very very minor is I havent found a way to use the program without having to let it start up every time I boot up the computer. I would prefer to turn the program on or off as needed. It doesnt give you the option to do this. I like to limit what programs start when I turn the computer on to speed it up and this is not a must have program at start up. Maybe the programs creators can fix this in the next update?????

  Summary

  I love it otherwise. Its light years better than any of the other download managers out there including the paid ones! Try it - you wont be sorry. Its a must have program for me now. It even uses the file name and I dont have to give the download a new name unless I chose to. Some managers make you enter a downloads name - XDM keeps the name of the download for you.

  Its awesome. does its job perfectly. Using for few months and it never disappoints. great for downloading videos from youtube.

  needs ffmpeg to be downloaded (10 mb)

  Pros

  that made this crap for software. It is Spyware. DO NOT Download this product. It clandestinely downloads and you are unable to find the product. Moreover, you are unable to remove the spyware as you cannot find it; it doesn't register as downloaded. I had to do a System Restore to get rid of this TRASH! HORRIBLE!

  Cons

  This product is a VIRUS! Do NOT Download. It is SPY SPYWARE! It is NOT good! NOT any...it didn't work. Moreover, it downloaded without registering to my registry and I couldn't uninstall this piece of SHIT! Do NOT download this product; do NOT! It is GARBAGE! Yes, it is Trojan Horse! STAY away from this SCAM product.

• A small but handy and fast download manager for all!!

  Pros

  Despite having small file size, the download manager is useful for downloading many data. Its download acceleration speed can be compared with idm. So, I recommend it to everyone.

  Cons

  One one, sometimes when you visit a download site or youtube, the media grabber will show up all the available downloads and it can sometimes be annoying to clear out all those download queues.

  Summary

  Except that con part, all are great and it is very useful in every way. I would highly recommend it.

  Pros

  It's free, fast, light weight and works really good.

  Cons

  Its integration with web browser such as Google chrome. When I integrate it using all browser integration, it started capturing windows update files and started capturing many videos, which was quiet annoying. Its remove and delete downloads are quiet complicated.

  Summary

  Overall a very good download manager if you are good in computing. Not for beginners.

  Pros

  It didn't seem to be too intrusive as far as forcing updates or inserting malware and that sort of thing. At least nothing that I've been able to detect. It seems to do well in resuming so long as the website is listed as 'supported' for the feature.

  Cons

  I did have trouble with configuring the browser integration in Firefox which was the biggest drawback. You might have better luck than me though as far as that goes. Sometimes it's my own mistake.

  Summary

  if you're looking for a free and simple bare-bones download manager with resume support I would give it a try.

  THE BEST, FREE ALL, PORTABLE, NO INSTALL NEEDS. ONLY WE MUST CONFIGURE JUST FOR ITS FUNCNIONALITY. THERE ARE INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE IT. IT DOWNLOADS EVERY TIPE OF MOVIE (NOT ONLY YOU TUBE) AND IT DIVIDES DOWNLOADS IN 8 PARTS SO IT IS MORE FAST.

  ONLY CONS I HAVE FIND IS THAT EVERY TIME WE CAN GIVE THE PATH WERE DOWNLOAD THE FILES, OTHERWISE IT DOWNLOAD IN "USERS\USERS PATH.

  very very good. Program is very small. It is a program of new generation: it download a file zip. Unziped it no file exe is presents. It needs clic with righe button of mouse on file: "xdman.iar" and choose oper with "java (TM)" So program open (it's a program in Java, and need Java installed because it can work). I RECOMMEND TO ALL USERS WHO HAS TO DOWNLOAD MOVIE OF ALL TIME (flv too)FROM INTERNET.
