  This little program just works. Very simple, very quick. <p> <p>I thought it had crashed my system with my 1GB input file but it just took a while to recognise the thing. Spat it out in half hour segments two minutes later. Easy.

  It works and is very useful if you have a lot of long MP3's, like lectures or programs recorded with Wiretap, etc. It only works on MP3's though -- not on AIFF's, so you'll need to convert first.

  The program is excellent and self explanatory. The guy that gave this thumbs down missed the point. This program makes lectures and audio books easier to skip through by dividing them evenly. It's perfect in that it does what it says, it does it very quickly, and it works like a mac program should. Drag a group of MP3s ontop of the Xmp3split icon and it splits them all, keeping you informed of the progress. This program has saved me a bunch of time and made listening to recorded lectures much easier.

  Easily and quickly breaks class lectures into tracks so I can listen and study during a long commute. Having shorter tracks lets me switch to a music CD when my brain needs a breather but come back to where I left off.

  I can now break up a large 2 hour interviews into 10 min. segments and not have to restart all over when I am interrupted.
