World Astro Clock Light for Windows 8 app is the free version of the World Astro Clock. It provides the time of the day in over 4,000 world cities and shows live progression of the Sun and the Moon over the Earth. It is a source of information on many daily, monthly and yearly astronomical calendar events such as rise/set/transit of the Sun and the Moon for any given location, phase of the Moon, summer and winter solstice, and spring and fall equinox. When used in snapped mode, it can be kept on screen, side by side with another application, showing time in selected cities and a live sunlight map of the world. While this app is especially useful if you enjoy science, astronomy and geography, its high resolution graphics make it an attractive desk clock at its core. The full version of the World Astro Clock supports user programmable cities and has more modes and features.
