  Product basically works, although getting the most from it requires too much trial and error.

  Cons

  Digiarty claims to sell licenses with "lifetime" upgrades -- until, of course, they lose their record of your purchase, and then you're out your money. I won't deal with them again.

  Summary

  Try Handbrake -- works better, and it's free.

  None that I can think of.

  Cons

  I purchased the deluxe package & it does not work. Within 48 hours I asked for a refund which according to their site has a 30 day money back guarantee. I tried for 2 months to get my money back, so far no luck.

It was such a pain finding a free converter without losing quality and without limitations so when i found it it was such a relief & i am so thankful i had to write this review. I will donate and most likely purchase in the future, thank you for great quality freeware that actually works! p.s click High Quality engine for magic!

  1. Here is five-star for its intuitive UI and user-friendly wizard. Though it's freeware, I satisfy with the decent design of this program. 2. The converting speed is deadly fast than other free video converter. I usually download 4K videos and then convert mkv to mp4 for mobiles playback. The converted quality looks very good on the mobile screen.

  Cons

  I've not encountered any crash in the process of converting mkv to mp4.

  Summary

  It's worthwhile to keep in my software arsenal.

  It turns 1gb .avi to 10mbs with 2nd to significant data quality loss Nag screen on occasion

  It was free, that was all.

  This software doesn't work with my new computer with Windows 7 Ultimate, 64bit edition. I would open up the software, and try to select a file to convert, and it would crash. I emailed the company on 3 separate occasions(Their website promises one business day turn around for emails-yeah right)to find out what to do. They NEVER replied to ANY of my emails. The last email I sent to EVERY department listed on their contact list, and still nobody replied. I gave them more than enough chances. Please, don't waste your time.

• Converts VOB OK

  Pros

  I have some VOBs that Any-video-converter can't handle so I tried this one and it worked. 20 min VOB took 5 minutes to convert to mp4 or avi. Very Easy to use but also has many options to fine tune.

  Cons

  Audio slightly out of sync especially with the avi.

  I had an AVI file I needed converted to MP4 in order to play on my Sony Blue Ray player & the free version worked quickly & perfectly.

• Just a tease to get you to buy their paid version

  Couldn't convert a popular video format, informs you that you need their paid version.

  Summary

  I'm sure their paid version is good, but this free version didn't work as advertised. I just needed to convert some MOV files to MP4 and it could not do it. It informed me that I needed to buy their paid version to do it. I'm not against paying for software, but it bothers me when an application lures you in just to ask you to upgrade. I found an open source and truly free version here on CNet (miro) that did what I needed. I gave it 1.5 stars, at least it let me uninstall easily and didn't install malware on my system.
