Associated with ClamWin antivirus, Winpooch keeps safe your computer against virus. Winpooch uses the API Hooking method. It spies programs when they are running and gives to the user a powerful control of their activity.For example, you can forbide a program to write in a system directory or in the registry, or else to connect to internet. That makes the difference between others anti spywares using a database of known signatures.

Pros
The idea is good. I look forward to a tool that will hook into ClamWin to give it real-time scanning abilities.
Cons
Unfortunately this product did not deliver as promised. It is still pre-release (version 0.6.6), but it hasn't been updated since April '07. When I installed it on a Win2K server it gave me a compatibility error report, which I posted on the project's site at SourceForge. When I installed on a WinXP machine, it caused the machine to pretty much lock up as in continued to consume 90+ percent of the processor.

I downloaded this, installed it and I got a pooch sitting in the middle of my desktop and my computer locked up. I had to start in safe mode to uninstall it
