The Window Sizer utility is a .NET application that uses Windows API calls to size and position any visible application Window on your desktop. It is a valuable tool for any developer who wants to ensure that their application 'looks good' at various resolutions. Simply run the tool and select the window you want to manipulate and you can use the sliders to quickly size and position the selected window.

There are several 'Quick Size' buttons that allow you to automatically set a window to a standard size (800x600, 1024x768, and 1280x1024). You can also create your own custom buttons to quickly set windows to a specific size and position. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

I really couldn't tell.
Cons
I closed the program after a quick look-see, then I wanted to open it again but couldn't find the application. There were no shortcuts and it wasn't in the Start Menu. So I went to Control Panel/Programs but it wasn't in the list. Then I looked for it in Windows/Program Files but it wasn't there either. So then I did a global search of the C: drive to try and find some trace of it but no joy. It's like it apparently installed and then when I closed the program it just disappeared without a trace. Or maybe not, perhaps I'm not getting it, I just don't know.
Summary
I've noticed a recent trend for some applications to install but then they don't show up in the Control Panel and they don't offer an uninstall option either. To me that's not cool and puts a burden on the user if they should need to uninstall manually. And obviously all this dorking around is a waste of time too, so that's not cool either.

Pros
when defining a custom size you can even define the window position saved to that size. very nice, when you want to have a window to the right side for example.
Cons
The hide button doesn't make sense to me. If I want to hide a window, I should be able to unhide it later. Otherwise it is lost until reboot.
Summary
what else to say? It is very small, fast, works with Vista64, does what it is designed for and even customizable. Very nice app!
Seems to work well for sizing windows.

I need to set specific sized capture windows and this utility sets my applications to standard sizes and allows me to set my own window size.<p>How to Use<p>==============<p>1)After starting the Windows Sizer, open some other applications.<p>2)In Windows Sizer, Press Refresh and the list will show the open applications.<p>3) Select the application from the list and press the size you would like it to be (choices in the lower right).<p>It will size the application to the size selected.<p>It is pretty cool, Once you figure it out.
Cons
Not as obvious as I would have liked. A Little built in Help file might be nice.<p>I dont know what the HIDE options does, but it warns me that I cant Un-Hide it, so I canceled the request.
