  If the new one is not good try download the old version through those torrent sites with bit-comet. You would find most sites at bit-comet website.

  Program "stops working" (per Windows notification) when attempting to load any file into it.

  Summary

  I used the previous major versions for several years, and was quite satisfied. One day, the program told me that I needed to enter a new registration code, so I wrote to customer service, and received a prompt, courteous response telling me that I must download the new version, and use the new registration code provided. Under Windows 7, the new version simply will not accept ANY file for conversion. I wrote back to customer service (about three weeks ago), and have heard nothing. It would be nice to have the old version back; it worked.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Dec 25, 2013<p/>I left the program installed on my machine, but hadn't tried it for some months. On a lark tonight, I decided to make it revert to default settings, and now the program works. Easy fix...too bad that WinAVI customer support never told me to try that. If I could, I would raise my rating to four stars; had customer support ever responded to me with this solution, it would have been five.

  Pros

  Very easy to figure out interface. Works with tons of files.

  Cons

  I purchased the full copy to get rid of the watermark. After formatting my computer my License Key will not work so I cannot reinstall the program. I've maybe used it half a dozen times. I have sent emails to their customer service and have never heard anything back from them. There are other programs that do the same thing, find a different company.

  Summary

  It's handy unless anything at all goes wrong. Don't expect them to back their product in any way.

  The old interface was easy to understand. This new version is far worse than older versions. Talk about killing the Golden Goose!!

  Once you figure out the limited usage for this product, you get what you expect.

  - Bugs experienced with converting .VOBs over 4G -- Solution on their webpage is to download a corrupt .ZIP file - Bugs in finding files - Poor customer service

  Summary

  I bought the full license for this product and I wish I hadn't. It doesn't allow me to turn multiple .VOB files into .AVI files. On my Laptop the 10.1 version freezes when I try to browse for a file (meaning that I have to my any file I want to convert to "My Documents"...it's default location). Older versions have limitations working with .VOB files over 4G...and the FAQ for fixing this issue contains a corrupt .ZIP file. I emailed their customer service and after a preliminary response (with no fixes) they haven't responded any more. I'm very disapointed, and wish I'd spent my money on DivX Converter instead...buyers remorse.It's too buggy to be of real use.

  its quick and fast... converts almost everything... compared to other products this is really fast with same result and sometimes better...

  Cons

  i think its missing some support from MKV files... sometimes i cant convert MKV files to AVI but hey its not enough reason not to have this software...
