He even uses the same nickname and same expression (naysayers!). Couldn't he be smarter about promoting his own crap. &gt;&gt;Throw away Word, AppleWorks and Text Edit Plus!   AtuGuy   &gt;&gt;Version: 1.7, 2/29/2004 01:05PM PST &gt;&gt;Too many text editor apps are overburdened with features we writers &gt;&gt;don't really need. This one has only the features that serious writers use &gt;&gt;the most. Like "scrolling forward and backward through all opened &gt;&gt;windows." Plus Plain Text Editor is the only one I know of that is actually &gt;&gt;compatible with Extended Software Updater. Which makes it worth its &gt;&gt;weight in Plutonium. Disregard the naysayers. This is the text editor of &gt;&gt;choice for serious nerds of letters.

For one thing, REAL movies in REAL movie theatres are presented in their true aspect ratios. To preserve these ratios on stupidly square screens, black bars must be present. That being the case, this application is not only 100% moronic, but actually does rotten things a movie. Yes, this application belongs with the "Terror Alert Menu Bar" and other such completely useless fodder as they run for competition in "The World's Worst Software" awards, held each year at the Kodak Theatre (in deep midwinter).

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This program simply allows you to zoom in the video to get rid of the black bars on a widescreen movie, any other "features" it brags about are useless. This is NOT worth the money whatsoever. There is no point in even downloading it unless you can't stand the black bars. Then there is the fact that just zooming in on a movie doesn't really work. Since you are just getting the center of the wide view, you miss things that happen when the camera is not pointed directly at them, which is fixed when the movie companies convert a film, since they select the most important part of the frame and zoom in on that. If we watched all movies in just cropped 4:3, we would have a very interesting time dealing with half-faces and strange parts missing. If you just want to play a movie full screen then download VLC, MPlayer or any other alternative, if you really like quicktime and want to play a movie full screen the compile this code in Script Editor and run it as an application when you have a movie open in Quicktime. tell application "QuickTime Player" activate present movie end tell Save it as an application and then simply run it with any movie open in Quicktime. Its that simple.
