• Good sleep-aid (sound breaking problem solvable)

  Pros

  You can program up to 5 channels independently, set volume for each channel and even computer shutdown. Includes 7 audio files: rain, fan and white noise. External files work as well, from Youtube you get ocean waves, thunderstorm... (Also music can be played but not without loop.)

  Cons

  Sound breaks for a sec when an audio file starts over. Solution 1: Use 3 to 5 channels for the same file but different start time (for instance 23:30, 23:31, 23:32 for sample rain 1) Solution 2: Download long audio files from Youtube. Channel number doesn't show on the events list.

  I expected to be able to spend a few minutes looking it over and give it a try. I was wrong. I did get it to make noise. Maybe if the need to have my computer sound like a fan was great enough I would spend a lot of time studying this program and get the desired effect. For me it was not worth the time.

  Summary

  To be fair the program may be effective if you study it and learn to use it. Also there is an apparent ability to get other sounds. But I just walked across my room and turned on my floor fan. Sleep well.

  Pros

  six or seven different files to choose from, nice variance in sounds.

  Cons

  When the file loops theres a break in the sound which will disturb you as you try and drift off to sleep.

  Summary

  Nice Idea. Nice simple software. Just need to work out the tweeks..there shouldnt be any break in the sound.

  Noise samples too short After initial launch, program would not relaunch in Vista Business Insufficient instructions on setting up a sleep program

  Pros

  I find I do sleep more soundly if there's a background of soft sound. Probably doesn't work for everybody, but it works for me. I use one of the fan sounds. I wouldn't use the water effects because I'd have to keep getting up for a pee.

  Could do with a bigger choice of sounds.

  Pros

  I found it easy to use, and i liked the sample sounds that are provided. It is really easy to add your own recorded sounds, just don't forget to loop them.

  as far as a free programs goes I can not find anything bad to say about it. very easy to use,

  I have the rain wav 1 rain 4 and fan 3 running in the background all the time at work. I don't seem to be as stressed as I used to be? At home my laptop is set to start at 11:30 PM and shut down at 1:00 AM very easy program to use. It is way better then trying to but those water features together. this never runs low on water or grows that smelly slimmmmmyyyy crap. and you never have to worry about spilling water all over the place trying to refill a water feature. You can add any music you laike and program it to start and stop when ever you want. I love it.
