New options in WebStratego include making all the pieces visible, keeping them invisible even during an attack, and giving players a chance to trade earned points for new units. The game offers a four-player option as well as the traditional two-player. The map graphics have greatly improved from previous versions. WebStratego has one of the most active Stratego communities around, so you won't have trouble finding a game.

Game fads come and go, but Stratego remains. WebStratego takes the classic strategy board game online and adds a bunch of additional features. As in the original, the object is to move an army of differently ranked pieces around a board and capture the opponent's flag. The catch is you can't see which of your opponent's pieces are which. When one piece attacks another, the higher-ranked piece wins and the identity of both is revealed.

The $6.99-per-month subscription fee and the lack of an AI option are a bit discouraging, but Stratego fiends will love being able to start a good battle at the drop of a plumed hat.

Its all about income for the site. Its run like a Bush Nazi camp with a super Patriot Act. The admins are bums without a life and act like childish dictaters who track your ip address, snoop into your business and cheat. They only want your money.
Summary
This site promotes the most vulgar, and assinine players while discriminating agianst others. The worst of the 3 admins, High Tech RedNeck, is a racist bigot who totes a confederate flag and doesn't kknow his own ass from a hole in the ground. Another admin, Lightwing, is a 17 year old computer geek who will spy on your computer. The third admin, NE-Pats is a 2 faced jerk who will pretend to befirend you only to use information agaisnt you. The site has forums where people can discuss various issues, but beware, if your view is not liked by the admins you will be sensored while at the same time vulgar hate towards what they don't like is tolerated. Another problem with this site is all the alias entities hiding behind face names. This is only allowed with additional paid memberships so basically they make a bunch of extra money off letting the payers cheat. Obviously a big part of the strategy in this game is knowing your oponent. The players are way too serious and some would actually murder gays and such if they had the chance. The site boasts Nazi like haters and people with out a life create a fantasy life here which of course money can buy. One of the sites most vulgar and hating pieces of trash, Sadistic must pay extra for the sick stuff he promotes there. Don't trust this site with your personal information or even with your IP address which they will be looking at the moment you log on.

The game does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does it well. Requires little processing power. Good range of play options. Both novice & experienced players online.
Cons
Timeout bug when initially attempting to setup online account. Probably drives many people away. Persevering will overcome this. Only other problem is that it's just not worth $35 per year (as much as I like the game). But download it, play for 4 weeks then delete it.

There is one big giant problem in the game as a free user you cannot change any options off or on just the standard game sounds fine right? one of the default options tells you if a piece has moved if it has been seen what saw it and it automatically turns off after a couple turns for non paying users which gives paying members an unfair advantage which makes you look for other nonpaying members to play with making it a bit harder to get a game started. <p> <p>I dont like the annual payments i think there should be a one time purchase price for membership. <p> <p>Some people take the game to seriously and will not accept a draw when neither player can win.
